You had immediate access to the skill level and customer reviews of each meal. There were about 6 selections per week all changing on a weekly basis. Lots of options were comfort food-type recipes that anyone would enjoy; however, you did have more unique options like seafood. HelloFresh provides recipes for those with dietary restrictions as well.
I wasn't too fond of having to sign up with a credit card even though I was only receiving the free meals within the promotion; but, as long as you stay on top of your finances, you can delete your account immediately after. Plus, you do have the ability to skip several weeks to avoid the weekly charge. Whenever your card is charged or account canceled, the website immediately generates an email for your records. Nothing felt "shady." The ServiceThe day the box was supposed to deliver, I received an email with a hyperlinked button to track my box. Unfortunately, the box did not arrive that Saturday. I contacted customer service that night to timeline the issue. The box did arrive the next day on a Sunday with the food in perfect condition. Their customer service team immediately reached out, but it was unfortunate that their team was only in the office Monday-Friday. I understand sometimes companies don't have the resources to extend hours like that. Their email response was friendly and personal. The FoodTHE FOOD WAS AMAZING! Each time that I opened the bag to a new meal, I was thrilled with the quality of produce. The vegetables looked no more than a day old and the meats were well cut. Since the menu was easy to read and everything was already measured out, it was really just a quick toss of the goodies and a quick cooking experience.
